Welcome Madi Hopfensperger, DC, ATC
We are excited to announce Madi has officially completed her chiropractic internship and has now graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic! Many patients have met Madi throughout the years as she is Chris and Kari Resch oldest daughter and began helping at the front desk when she was in high school. Following high school, Madi went to college at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she completed her degree in sports medicine/athletic training. During her time in Madison, she completed clinical rotations with the UW Badgers football, basketball, softball, track, and cross-country teams. Madi also spent a full semester working with high school aged athletes at Monona Grove High School. After graduating from UW Madison, Madi went on to study at Palmer College of Chiropractic. While studying there, she was also on the athletic training staff for the college's rugby teams.
Madi moved back to the Fox Valley area in February of 2021 to complete her last chiropractic clinical rotation at our office. Her husband, Alex, and two fur babies, Gus (black lab), and Bruce (cat), were so excited to finally have her back home! Now that Madi's internship is completed, she is officially joining the Schubbe Resch family as our newest Doctor of Chiropractic! In addition to seeing patients at our office, she also see's patients onsite at various industrial based companies.
Madi currently has a lot of experience with sports injuries, but loves to treat patients of all different ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about combining her chiropractic and rehabilitation skills to help her patient's reach their fullest potential. Madi is currently accepting new patients and is very excited to serve people of the Fox Valley Community!

"The More You Know"
"The More You Know"
-Dr. Nathan Zachor, DC
The best representation of a true cost comparison study between chiropractic and medical care for lower back over a 2-year span led to a summary report from 2010 titled, "The Center for Health Value Innovation Report". The cost data came from 85,000 Blue Cross members in Tennessee where patients were given equal access, equal copay costs and unlimited visits for medical care and chiropractic care of lower back pain.
The conclusion of the lower back pain cost comparison study revealed that "care initiated with a Chiropractor (DC) was less costly than care initiated through a Medical or Osteopathic Doctor (MD/DO). Paid costs for episodes of care initiated with a DC are almost 40% less than episodes initiated with an MD/DO." Even after risk adjusting each patient's costs, we found that episodes of care initiated with a DC are 20% less expensive than episodes initiated with an MD (JMPT 2010 (Nov): 640-643)." Other previous cost comparison studies have found chiropractic care to be 1/3 of the cost in comparison with PT or medical care (British Medical Journal 2003 (Apr 26); 326 (7395): 911).
Beyond the head-to-head comparison in costs per episode of lower back pain, patients receive many additional health benefits. It is well documented in the literature over the past 20 years that there are significant reductions in overall total health care costs per calendar year, substantial reduction in days missed from work, lower hospitalization rates, reduced usage of advanced imaging, reduced percentage of referrals to spine specialists and surgeons, and massive drops in medication usage and costs.
In conclusion, it pays for you to add a doctor of chiropractic to your healthcare team for spine-related pain. We hope that you will choose the doctor of Schubbe Resch Chiropractic and Physical Therapy first for your spine related needs!

Supplement of the Month: Sinatrol!
The supplement of the month for March is Sinatrol!
This is one of doctor will’s favorite supplements and again one of his favorite targeted supplements. Sinatrol boasts an impressive lineup of immune modulating and sinus clearing plant compounds. It is one of Dr. Will go-to clinical tools for any patient who suffers from chronic or acute sinus congestion. He also utilizes Sinatrol for acute respiratory challenges such as infection, mucus build up and issues from common everyday respiratory illnesses. Sinatrol is an essential part of Dr. Will’s supplement regimen in response to illness along with Viracid, which was February’s supplement of the month. If you currently suffer from sinus-related issues seasonally or chronically having Sinatrol apart of your regimen is an absolute essential.

Supplement of the Month: February 2021 Viracid
Viracid is an integral part of Dr. Will’s immune protocol and wonderful for supporting the body when you or someone in your house is sick. Viracid works with the body to support immune health from multiple angles. The formulation boasts several plant compounds that help activate and strengthen the immune system along with helping to maintain a normal inflammatory balance. This product is great at helping limit the propensity to get sick along with helping shorten courses of sickness. Dr. Will especially likes this product because many people utilize over the counter medications for sickness that tend to suppress the immune system and are full of synthetic chemicals and additives. Viracid is a natural botanical based formula that works with the immune system providing support.
Dr. Will typically uses this product when:
1. At first signs of sickness ( fatigue, sniffling, lack of energy, runny nose)
2. During active illness (family member or self)
3. Traveling (Especially air travel)
4. Under deadlines and stressors
Recommendations for use:
Can be taken daily for background immune support but Dr. Will typically recommends usage as more of a targeted supplement for usage during illness, travel or times of increased need.
